The 6 HP Tohatsu outboard motor is the largest single-cylinder model available for 2026. The Tohatsu 6 HP model MFS6DWDL comes equipped with the 20 inch long shaft and internal tank. It also includes a 3.1 Gal. external fuel tank and fuel line. The new MFS6DWDL comes equipped with the newly designed top and bottom cowls based on Tohatsu Design Philosophy for Marine Products, 3-way storage positions without worrying about oil spill, ultra-low emission, EPA and CARB 3-Star rating approved, and the newly designed Tohatsu unique front and back carrying handles for easier transportation. If you’re in search of lightweight portable power, the 6 HP Tohatsu outboard is an excellent choice for a variety of small craft as well auxiliary power for sailboats and trolling/kicker power for larger fishing boats. Measure vertically at the boat centerline from the top motor mounting surface to the bottom of the hull or keel. Compare that measurement with your boat manufacturer’s required shaft length and the exact motor’s installation instructions.
